Beth Goldberg, LSW, BCBA, BSL is the Mid Atlantic Regional Trainer for Birth Arts International.
Beth became a Certified Childbirth Educator through BirthWorks, in 2000, and an accredited La Leche League Leader. In 2002, Beth became an ALACE trained doula, and was also certified by Doulas of North America (DONA).
She earned her Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential in 2008.
Today, although she is no longer “babycatching”, she devotes her time to training and mentoring. Beth has trained hundreds of people from all over the country (and the world!) for well over a decade.
In addition to birth work, Beth is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS). She has worked with children with autism and behavior concerns for most of her career in mental health. Now, she works supporting adults with chronic mental illness, addiction and homelessness via the Department of Behavioral Health in Philly.
Beth lives with her husband and best friend Ryan, and her three growing children in South Philadelphia. She has been getting on her yoga mat since 1995, was trained as a Pilates mat teacher by Body Evolution in 2002.
Meditation and political activism are a daily part of Beth’s life, and she is a paleo/ketogenic lifestyle junkie. Beth has volunteered with the ACLU, and supports the work of the Southern Poverty Law Center, The National Organization for Women, and Reclaim Philadelphia.
Now Beth also volunteers with the Philly Reading Coaches program where she gets to share her love of reading books with Philadelphia children every week. Yay!
